The converter requires an un-switched supply for charging the battery and a switched supply if the unit is being used for maintained operation.
ISOLATE BOTH MAINS SUPPLIES AND DISCONNECT THE BATTERY BEFORE INSTALLATION OR MAINTENANCE.
System status indication
Notes: - After repairing a service fault, press and hole the test button for more than 2 seconds to reset the flashing indicator light to green.

The following information is only about the ST

Once within 2 seconds

Function test and Duration can also be initiated manually by pressing the test button when the mains supply is on, as follows:
Button Test
Once the self test system (STS) is powered up, it will automatically initiate a self-test and diagnostics as follows:
●
At every times: Check for battery disconnection, battery capacity, charge board fault, LED lamp fault and LED driver fault.
●
Every month: Performs 3 minutes functional test.
●
Every year: Performs a rated duration test.
At 30-day intervals the STS will automatically perform a function test by forcing the STS into emergency operation for 3 minutes.
Once a year the STS will automatically carry out a full duration test by forcing the STS into emergency operation for its rated emergency duration.
Upon initial power-on, random automatically-initiated rated duration is generated, so the start times of the tests are set automatically to ensure
random testing of the STS.
The following "Button Test" and "System Status Indication" apply to both MT and ST
