CBS Emergency Lighting Design
Emergency lighting is normally divided into escape lighting and standby lighting, it is also slipped as self-contained and Central Battery System (CBS) types.
The self-contained emergency lights have several advantages, and also disadvantages:
a.)The environmental conditions will vary throughout the system and batteries may be adversely affected by a relatively high or low ambient temperature
b.)Battery life is limited to between 2 and 4 years in current market, dependent upon the application
c.)Testing requires isolation and observation of luminaires on an individual basis
That is the reason CBS is required and we have to design the whole CBS system.The improved and centralized batteries system have higher lifespan, through well maintenance.
